The St. Petersburg Fire Department will host its 31st annual Fire Prevention Fest this Saturday, October 8th.
It will be at Northwest Park in St. Pete from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The block party will feature a variety of fun and educational activities for all ages, including a fire apparatus showcase, side-by-side fire sprinkler burn demonstration, LifeLine helicopter landing, bounce houses, face painting and more!
Free food and drink will be provided throughout the day.
In addition, the St. Petersburg Association of Firefighters, IAFF Local 747, will be collecting hurricane relief donations.
They will be used to help South Florida first responders who lost their homes, vehicles and belongings while serving their communities during Hurricane Ian.
Items collected include:
Non-Perishable Food Water/Sports Drinks New & Unused Toiletries/Personal Hygiene Items New & Unused Clothing/Socks/Underwear/Shoes Tarps/Rope/Tools Batteries, Gift Cards (Grocery/Gas/Amazon ) Unopened children’s toys
