After a brief rain delay, the second annual Seeds of Hope Harvest Festival finally returns to Dartmouth this weekend.
On Saturday, October 8th, the SouthCoast community is invited to attend a free event at Conquerers for Christ Church located at 972 Reed Rd in Dartmouth.
In 2021, the community garden was introduced to the public in the form of a harvest festival and the success of the event is again a second helping.
“Last year went really well,” said Kayla Mateus, the program’s director, “We had about a hundred people attend and we hope to double that number this year. It’s a community effort to create a garden that is rather a sanctuary where we are. will host garden tours, vendors, producers, artisans, crafters and more at the festival.”

Looking for something fun to do with the family? This year there will be activities for both kids and adults, including corn hole, sack races, bounce houses, cave painting, face painting, pumpkin decorating and crafts for all ages.
Kevin’s Kitchen, a local food truck vendor, will also be at the festival cooking up delicious homemade food.
“It’s a great opportunity for people to come together within the community, celebrate the year, support local producers and artists, and just have fun together,” said Mateus, “it’s a great way to spread the word about the garden and everything we do. do.”
