The updated COVID The booster is available through Beaumont Public Health
Beaumont Public Health is pleased to announce that they are now administering the bivalent COVID booster vaccine to help prevent the spread of some of the newer variants.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that people 12 years of age and older receive the newly updated Pfizer-BioNTech booster and people 18 years of age and older receive the newly updated Moderna. People are eligible if it has been at least two months since they completed their primary vaccinations or received their most recent booster dose. Call 409-654-3627 to schedule your free appointment Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

If you have received Disaster Assistance For Tropical Storm Harvey or Tropical Depression Imelda, it may be time to buy private flood insurance.
After a federally declared disaster, the Federal Emergency Management Agency offers temporary group flood insurance policies to people who don’t have it as part of their assistance. Coverage lasts for three years, after which certificate holders must purchase their own flood insurance to maintain coverage.
If individuals are unable to maintain coverage, they will not be eligible for additional federal disaster assistance for repairs to buildings and/or contents should they experience flood damage in the future.
