JUNCTION CITY – Hundreds of visitors turned out for the second annual edition Oktoberfest on Washington Street this weekend.

With events for all ages, festival goers found a variety of entertainment options during the festival.

Kids climbed rock walls and had fun on bounce houses and inflatables.

Men and women competed to see who could win the Hammerschlagen contest, which required contestants to hammer a nail into a stump, while using the angled end of the hammer head.

There were also hoisting and stall carrying competitions, along with a yodeling competition.

Food and drink vendors served dishes and drinks following the German Oktoberfest theme.

The festival closed on Saturday evening after a street concert by the KC All Stars.
