SEARSPORT — The 22nd Fling into Fall brings fun, food, games and fireworks to downtown Searsport Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8.
Here’s what’s in store:
Friday, October 7
2 to 6 p.m. – Scarecrow decorating and crescent pumpkin delivery at the Penobscot Maritime Museum.
16:00 – House decoration to be judged in houses and shops in the city.
Sunset: Crescent Moonlights at the Penobscot Maritime Museum.
6 to 8 p.m. – Bonfire and live music with Anni and the Rainmakers, Public Safety Building, 3 Union St.
Saturday, October 8
9 am – Auction on the lawn of Searsport Methodist Church, 43 E. Main St.
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Car and Craft Show at Searsport High School, 24 Mortland Road.
10 a.m. – Costume and bike decorating at Mermaid Plaza, 1 E. Main St.
11 a.m. – Incredible parade on Carrer Major.
Noon: Lunch from local vendors. Children’s activities at the Public Safety Building, including games, bounce houses, hand painting, caricatures and more!
Noon to 5pm: Lobster Boat Tours from Hamilton Wharf.
12:30 pm – Chili, soup and best apple pie contest.
1:00 PM – Historic Walking Tour with Town Historian Charlene Knox Farris, starting at Searsport First Congregational Church, 8 Church St.
1:00 PM to 3:00 PM – Touch-a-Truck in the Full Gospel Church parking lot at 71 E. Main St.
4.30 pm – Concert at Mosman Park.
6.30pm – Fireworks in Mosman Park.
