Bowls and Baskets at Leland
Stop by the Leland Cultural Arts Center and purchase bowls and baskets handmade by the potters and basket makers who are currently taking classes at the center.
The Friends of the Leland Cultural Arts Center will also sell bowls and baskets that were donated by the potters and basket makers. The city of Leland’s police and fire departments will go head-to-head in a chili cook-off. Winners will be determined by which department receives the most canned goods.

Please bring canned goods. All canned goods donated will benefit Manna Ministries. The event will be held from 1-3pm on Saturday, October 1st at 1212 Magnolia Village Way, Leland.
Brunswick Art Council Fall Art Show and Sale
The Brunswick Arts Council’s 22nd Annual Fall Art Show and Sale will be held now through Saturday, October 8 at the Leland Cultural Arts Center, 1212 Magnolia Village Way, Leland. The jury show will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The show is open to the public with free admission. On Friday, October 7, there will be an awards reception from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Entertainers perform in Shallotte
Summerfest, hosted by the city of Shallotte, begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 29 at Mulberry Park, 123 Mulberry St. The Entertainers will perform beach music, R&B, rock, country and Top 40. Bring your chair and blanket.
Belville Fall Festival
The City of Belville will hold its annual Fall Festival, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1 at Belville Riverwalk Park, 580 River Road. There will be food trucks, craft vendors, music, inflatables (bounce houses), pumpkin painting, children’s activities and a performance by No Sleeves Magic, and StoryWalk, an interactive outdoor activity where children children and their families walk through the park, stopping to read the pages of a children’s book hanging along the path.
Oak Island Fall Concert Series
The Back Porch Rockers will be performing from 6-8pm on Saturday, October 1st as part of the Oak Island Night Concert Series. The concert will take place at the Amphitheater at Middleton Park, 4610 E Dolphin Drive, Oak Island. Free.

The 15th annual festival is back with many of your favorite things. Sunset at Sunset will be held from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, October 1st at Sunset Beach Town Park, 206 Sunset Blvd. N, Sunset Beach.

Kicking off the festivities at 10:30am will be one of Sunset Beach’s favorites, the Michael Fields Band. The Sea and Sand Band, also a Sunset Beach favorite, will take the stage around 2pm and play until the end of the festival. There will be food vendors and food trucks. The festival will also feature a selection of vendors showcasing handmade pottery, gifts, jewelry, accessories, personal care items and original art. In addition, there will be several organizations from the local community. The Sunset Beach Fire Department will be hosting the very popular obstacle course. There will also be a children’s craft area.
