Best of the best
The Food Truck, Truck Off is a cooking competition hosted by Starz Enlightened LLC and Santa Rosa Mall. The event starts at 11am on Friday and continues until 9pm on Sunday at the mall at 300 Mary Esther Blvd. in Maria Esther.
Local food trucks can show off their skills and visitors have access to several great food trucks in one place.
Indoor and outdoor seating, face painting, bounce houses, clowns and more are scheduled in the parking lot of the former JC Penney. There will be category competitions and awarding of prizes to the winners of each category.

Getting ready for back to school
Yoga By You-A Yoga Collective will honor Okaloosa County teachers by offering an opportunity to relax and rejuvenate in preparation for the new school year.
The Teacher Back to School Sound Bath & Classroom Supply Drive is scheduled from 3 to 4 pm at 123 Partin Drive N. in Niceville. It is free for Okaloosa teachers and the public is welcome at a reduced cost of $10.
Enjoy an hour of sound meditation with resonant instruments designed to help you relax, connect and listen deeply while allowing the mind chatter to quiet and the body to receive. Sound can help the mind and body achieve balance and well-being.
Southern sound
Singer/songwriter Adam Hood will play Southern music from 8-11pm at Docie’s Dock at 24 Miracle Strip Parkway SE in Fort Walton Beach.

Mark Mackay Band will be performing from 6pm Friday to 9pm Saturday at Red Fish Taco at 252 W. Walton County Highway 30A in Santa Rosa Beach.
With his country roots, rock ‘n’ roll heart and mesmerizing music, Mackay has left his boots on stages like Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium.

SATURDAY, August 6
Roll & Ride
Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson will be hosting a Roll & Ride Out where one lucky person will win a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
“Get ready to roll…the dice, that is! We’re bringing back our famous dice roll and your chance to win a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle!! The best part? It’s FREE to roll,” they declare the organizers.
They will be partnering with the Emerald Coast Autism Center, who will provide an on-site kitchen for donations. Word on the street is that they will also have some great raffle prizes.
Hours are noon to 3pm at 788 Beal Parkway NW in Fort Walton Beach.

Blossom Lane Farm U-Pick Flower Maze is open from 8 a.m. to noon and is open every other Saturday through October 29. Limited tickets are available each week.

Bands play live music at the Tripp Tide Bar every day at the Island Resort in Fort Walton Beach. The Sunday performer is the second breakfast. Hours are 5-9pm at 1500 Miracle strip Parkway SE

Organic mixture
John Keuler performs an organic, soulful and vocal mix of favorites from Paul Simon, Bob Marley, The Band and The Grateful Dead, as well as original material. He will be performing from 5-9pm at Lulu’s Destin at 4607 Legendary Marina Drive.
THURSDAY, August 11
Fun tiki bar
Jeff Solo will perform at 6pm on August 11th at GI Jade Tiki Bar and Bistro, 38 Miracle Strip Parkway SW, Fort Walton Beach.
