WILLIAMS, Ariz. – This Labor Day weekend, the public is invited to attend a two-day festival that includes bounce houses, vendors, a beer festival, fireworks displays and more, with all proceeds raised to donate support to the Williams Volunteer Fire Department.
Williams Labor Daze Fest returns for a second year Sept. 3-4 at the Williams Rodeo Grounds in Williams.
The festival kicks off on September 3 with a children’s zone, food trucks, craft market and vendors.
A beer festival, hosted by Grand Canyon Brewing & Distillery, begins on September 4. For the beer festival, guests can purchase tickets to sample craft beer from at least a dozen Arizona breweries. There will also be live music and the opportunity for guests to vote for their favorite beers. At the end of the day, one lucky brewery will receive a People’s Choice Award.
To top off the event, the Williams Volunteer Fire Department will have a fireworks display at 8:00 PM on September 4th.
The show will depart from the Sweetwater property, owned by the City of Williams and located on the west side of Airport Road, north of Interstate 40.
Williams Volunteer Fire Department Chief Justin Sandoval said the department is excited about the return of the event and fireworks show.
“This is the second annual event and we are very excited to have such positive feedback from last year to have it again,” he said.
According to Sandoval, the department hopes the event will continue to grow each year in support of firefighters.
“A lot of work has gone into this event with a lot of support from various people across the city,” he said. “This year’s fireworks display will be the largest Williams show ever performed here. Performer counts are higher than last year’s display and still maintain a 20-minute show for a continuously bright sky.
Sandoval said attendees should be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket to view the screen.
“Thank you for attending this event and supporting all of the beer, craft, entertainment and food vendors,” he said. “I hope you enjoy the event and we look forward to seeing you at the 2022 Labor Daze event.”
The show will feature 263 kites arranged from various angles and colors. There will be 1,487 fireworks shells and 26 cakes with between 100 and 600 shots. The shells will be between 3 and 10 inches. The show will last approximately 20 minutes.
The event is free.
Vendors, food trucks and bounce houses will be available from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday and 8:00am to 7:00pm on Sunday. The beer party will be only on Sunday from 14:00 to 19:00
Participating breweries and distilleries include Grand Canyon, Lumberyard, Simple Machine, Barrio, State 48, THAT Brewery, Drinking Horn, 12 West, Mother Road, Dark Sky and Mudshark.

Event parking and fireworks viewing will be available at the Rodeo Grounds, 750 Airport Road.
