Setting Up Your Bouncy Castle

Setting Up Your Bouncy CastleBooking a bouncy castle for your child’s birthday party is a great way to ensure that the party is a hit.  When you rent one more often than not they will come and set it up for you and tear it down when the party is over.  If you want to save some money on rental fees then setting up your bouncy castle yourself may make it cheaper.  If that option is open to you then let’s go over what you have to do.

Find the Best Location

First things first, you want to find the right location to set it up, that means an area that is completely flat with little or no lumps and bumps.  If you’re setting it down on gravel then you’re going to need a good groundsheet to make sure the bouncy house doesn’t tear.

Double Check the Area

Once you have found a suitable flat area then you want to go over the ground and make sure there are no pieces of broken glass, branches, twigs or sharp stones.  Also make sure that there is nothing above ground that can damage the bouncy castle like power lines, branches or bushes.

Unpack Your Castle

Put the groundsheet in place and position your bouncy castle on top of it and start unfolding it carefully.  Don’t pull to hard on any of the anchor points or you can end up with damage.  Fasten any of the Velcro parts that need to be attached and get everything ready to attach the blower.

Attaching the Blower

Once your castle is all laid out with the inflatable tube positioned at the back, you will insert the blower into the inflation tube.  Your castle should have some type of strap attached to the inflation tube, if it doesn’t then you want to use some  type of cargo strap to secure it. Here is a video showing you how to set up your bouncy castle to help.

Safety First

While your kids may be eager to start jumping but don’t let them near the castle until it is completed inflated.  Make your kids stay away from the back where the power cables are located.  Bouncy castles are meant to be used on bright sunny days and not when it rains.  They do come with rain covers but they are too dangerous to use in the rain.

Setting up your bouncy castle isn’t that hard, just follow these tips
