The Hell Festival next Saturday

Oct. 7 — WILLIMÁNTIC — A wide variety of food will be sold during the “Inferno Food Festival” in Jillson Square on Saturday. The event, which is organized by Eastside Food Festivals, takes place from 12pm to 6pm

There is no entrance fee. American comfort food, barbecue and grilled cheese will be sold, as well as fried snacks, frozen desserts, Brazilian food, Puerto Rican food and Mexican food.

“This is just one of our two upcoming events,” Eastside Food Festivals owner Tony Ferreira said in a press release. “We really want to draw a crowd and enjoy good food with good company at Jillson.”

In keeping with the “Inferno” theme, all food trucks have been asked to include two hot and spicy items.

“There are certain trucks that really can’t do anything with it,” Ferreira said, referring to cupcake and ice cream trucks, for example.

In addition to the food trucks, a classic rock group from southeastern Connecticut, “Styff Kitty,” will perform Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m.

There will also be bounce houses and crafts for sale.

People can bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs.

Eastside Food Festivals will also be holding “Ozzfoodfest” at this property from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday November 5th. There will be food trucks and an Ozzy Osbourne tribute band, “Ozzlands,” will be performing on the day. Styff Kitty will be performing from 12-2pm and Ozzlands will be performing from 3-6pm that day.

Free parking will be available in the Walnut Street parking lot and at the property on Saturday.
