Driving down East Boulevard in Onset, you can’t help but notice the very unique vehicle sitting in the yard of one particular home.
It’s known as a surrey, a special type of bicycle, technically a quadricycle, that allows multiple passengers to have seats on the bench while riding down the road.
This blue-bar wonder features a bright yellow top and black seats with a faded license plate on the front that reads “Dune Buggy,” which is also marked with “The Haunted Mansion” logo and the words “Magic Kingdom “, which makes sense. , because this surrey is straight out of Disney World.
The bicycle is one of the amenities reserved for those who rent the property where they are based.

It is known as the Home beach compound, and is rented out through a company called #StayHere. There are three houses within the complex: the three-bedroom Flamingo House, and then the Crab House and the Mermaid House, each with two bedrooms.
When you rent the homes, #StayHere includes a number of amenities such as electric bikes, paddle boats, kayaks, use of the hot tub and use of the fire pit.

It’s the Surrey bike, though, that’s getting people’s attention. People who have been to Disney World are familiar with the sight of a surrey, but for others, it’s something they’ve never seen before, even though the surrey was invented around 1850. Although you can buy one for around $3,000-$4,000not commonly seen on the south coast.
