1. Triple F Farms Pumpkin Patch, Salinas
What’s not to love about bounce houses, food trucks, and outdoor games? Triple F Farms brings these activities back to Salinas with its Pumpkin Patch event.
Admission is free for all guests and families who want to stop by and pick a pumpkin, as well as enjoy plenty of photo ops with the many seasonal decorations, haystacks, corn stalks, and beanbag lawn chairs. dimensions
The pumpkin patch is located at 10 River Road, on the corner of River Road and Highway 68. It is open weekdays from 12 pm to sunset, as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 10 from morning until sunset.

2. ‘Miner Madness’ Haunted House and Pumpkin Patch
Starting this weekend, The Monterey County Fairgrounds kicks off a spooky season with some thrills and scares. Visitors ages 12 and up can walk through the new “Miner Madness” haunted house and pumpkin patch hosted by the Artichoke Festival.
Other activities will include games and arts and crafts vendors. This event takes place every Friday and Saturday night from October 7th to 30th.

3. Walk Enchanted Trails at Wonder Wood Ranch
Who can forget a creepy horse hideout with spooky ghosts and skeletons lurking around every turn? Certainly not anyone who has experienced a haunted tour at the Wonder Wood Ranch on Wild Horse Road in Salinas.
Every Halloween, the ranch invites guests and families to take a walk along its half-mile “haunted” trail through the woods. Visitors can dress up, take pictures with the horses and meet the many animals in the barn, as well as play games, enjoy treats and mulled cider.
This year’s haunted walk will be at 8100 Wild Horse Road on October 29th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm.

4. Fall Round Up, Salinas
Salinas is shaking things up this Halloween with a new family event for everyone to enjoy. The Salinas Sports Complex will host its first annual fall round that will include a pumpkin patch, carnival rides, food, games and more.
The Fall Round Up will be open from October 13-16. Parking will be free and wristbands can be purchased in advance.

5. Howl-o-Ween Dog Costume Contest, Carmel
The City of Carmel has partnered with Max’s Helping Paws and Diggidy Dog/Love Dog & Co, a local animal welfare organization, to bring back its Halloween Dog Costume Contest after a two-year hiatus. Pet owners can bring their furry friends to Carmel Plaza in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, where they can show off their costumes and compete for prizes.
Categories will include lookalike dog and owner, scariest costume, best handmade costume and most unique costume. Plenty of photo opportunities are sure to spread laughter and joy.
This event takes place on October 29th from 11am to 2pm and will support Max’s Helping Paws.

6. Trick-or-Treat in downtown Salinas
Kids will have plenty of opportunities to fill their candy bags this Halloween weekend in downtown Salinas. Families are invited to bring their children to visit some of the local businesses for free candy and activities, including a scavenger hunt, face painting, pumpkin decorating and more.
This event runs from 11am to 2pm on October 29.
7. Halloween on the pier
Monterey’s iconic Old Fisherman’s Wharf invites people to visit and enjoy trick-or-treating on the bay, spooky decorations and music on Halloween. Dressing up is encouraged, and those in costume can enter the costume contest for prizes.
Candy World will also feature a witch for people to enjoy some photo opportunities.
The event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on October 31.

8. Monterey Bay Otter Festival
The Monterey Bay Otter Fest returns in time for Halloween weekend. Guests can enjoy a game of pickleball and are encouraged to wear a costume.

9. The Pacific Grove Trick or Treat Center
The Pacific Grove Downtown Business Improvement District and the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce will host a free event for visitors of all ages. Trick-or-treaters will receive candy and treats from participating local businesses and enjoy a night of music and other festive activities.

10. Day of the Dead, Hartnell College
For many in the Hispanic culture, the Halloween season is a time to remember and honor deceased family members and loved ones through a traditional gathering of food, flowers and stories. Hartnell College hosts a Dia de los Muertos event for visitors to join in prayers, view offerings, art exhibits and more. All ages are welcome.
The celebration will take place on November 2 in the Hartnell College quad from 6 to 8 p.m.
