WARSAW — Many people were able to enjoy the games, bounce houses and mingle with clowns in Warsaw on Friday, July 29.
The Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department hosted its Family Carnival Friday night in Central Park. There was also face painting, an escape tank and a juggler among other things.
Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department Superintendent Larry Plummer said the event was packed this year.
“It’s great to see,” he said. “You know after COVID-19, we didn’t have the event. Last year we were down a little bit, and this year I think … everybody is out. … I think this year we had record sales (tickets and bracelet).
“Many families are enjoying it, several children are going there and everyone is happy and having a good time,” he added.
Volunteers from VIA Credit Union and Zimmer Biomet helped with the event this year along with Parks and Recreation Department staff.
“It was a beautiful night for activities,” Plummer said. “I’m glad everyone came out and had fun, and we’ll be doing it again next year.”
