EVENT ORGANIZERS — Officials from the Festival in the Woods organization are planning the third Brew and Food Truck Festival to be held Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. at Richmond Park, 210 S. RICHMOND – Festival in the Woods, a nonprofit whose members say they are dedicated to improving their Richmond community for the present and future, will hold its third annual Brew and Food Truck Festival on Saturday from noon to 6 in the afternoon at Richmond Park, located at 210 S. Park St., Richmond.
The event will host eight food trucks: Babcia’s Lunchbox, Hokulia Shave Ice, Ohio Valley Pizza Co., All American Burger Co. LLC, Truckin’ Triangles, Kathy’s Little Kitchen, 740 BBQ and Desperado Dogs.
There will be peach sangria with raspberries from Ohio Valley Winery, spiked lemonade, a wide selection of craft beers and plenty of non-alcoholic beverage options.
Live entertainment will be provided by Chelsea Matta, Dustin Kildow and Adam Kiaski.
“This is a family event and free to attend.” explained a spokesman for the Festival al bosc commission. “Children are encouraged to attend and enjoy the playground and bounce houses offered by the Village or Richmond.”
The community is also invited to join the Festival in the Woods on Friday evening for Movies in the Park.
“In the evening we will present the film ‘Encanto'” the spokesman added. Attendance at this event is free. Attendees are encouraged “To bring chairs, blankets, snacks, drinks or anything else that will help the family enjoy the show.”
“Enchantment” is rated PG. According to the Disney website, “Walt Disney Animation Studios’ ‘Charm’ tells the story of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wonderful and enchanted place called Encanto. The magic of Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift, from super strength to the power to heal, all but one child, Mirabel (voiced by Stephanie Beatriz). But when she discovers that the magic surrounding Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only normal Madrigal, could be the last hope for her exceptional family.”
