ORLANDO, Fla. — A local bowling and gaming attraction is turning 20. To celebrate, Boardwalk Bowl is transformed into an indoor carnival.
The Boardwalk Bowl at East Colonial in Orlando welcomes guests with retro signage. It houses 80 bowling alleys, a large arcade, a full service restaurant and a new billiards room.
Elijah Kostelnik, 22, is a shift supervisor who has worked at Boardwalk Bowl since he got his first job there at age 16. “Bowling is something that evolves with the times,” he said as he sanitized bowling balls on the 29 lane.
Throughout August, the entertainment center is offering special rates and gifts to celebrate its 20th anniversary. But the highlight is this weekend during Party on the Boardwalk. For two days, the place is being transformed into an indoor carnival with bounce houses, carnival food, stilts, ice cream, $2 bowling and more. “We’re going to do things we don’t normally do.”
A live mermaid encounter is at 1:00pm both days during the carnival.
Party on the promenade is August 27-28, 2022. It runs until midnight on Saturday and 10pm on Sunday.
