Jurassic Quest, Boyz II Men Headline San Antonio Weekend


Going out this weekend? From dinosaurs to Broadway musicals, here are your best bets.

Jurassic Quest: This traveling dinosaur show features life-size animated replicas of prehistoric beasts such as the iconic T-Rex and Megalodon. Kids can ride an animatronic dinosaur, play in dinosaur-themed bounce houses, search for fossils and see some big dinosaurs up close. 9am-8pm Friday and Saturday, 9am-6pm Sunday, Freeman Coliseum, 3201 E. Midlands: This country trio from Dripping Springs is here to sing about drinking with a broken heart and trying to get through tough times. “Bad Girls”: The musical adaptation of the 2004 film is making its debut at the Majestic Theatre. Boyz II Men: This Grammy-winning R&B group rose to fame in the early ’90s with soulful hits like “End of The Road” and “I’ll Make Love to You.” Decades later, the trio is here to prove they can still deliver those classic ballads while adding something new to the mix. “A Chorus Line”: Watch as tensions build between 19 aspiring actors vying for their place on stage during a round of Broadway auditions in this popular musical by Marvin Hamlisch. Jake Shimabukuro: Ukulele-wielding musician Shimabukuro has spent the past two decades blending genres such as jazz, funk and folk into his unique music.
